This All-Chrome Electric Scooter Is On My Want List

The all-chrome BMX electric scooter has to be one of the coolest looking electric scooters that I have ever seen. It has a chrome-plated plastic body, key box and and luggage box. I know, it's just a chrome-plated e-scooter but it just looks so cool. It's definitely going onto my craigslist want list. Dolphin body e-scooters are definitely not the highest quality electric scooters in the world but the one good thing about them is that there is wide variety of repair parts available for them.

Sorry Light Electric Vehicle, LEV Now Means Low Emission Vehicle

Over a decade ago a small group of electric scooter and bicycle distributors and retailers decided to coin a term that would describe the class of vehicles they were selling. They decided upon the term Light Electric Vehicle (LEV). This worked well for a while however with stricter emission standards going into effect for automobiles the car companies also needed a term to describe their new class of vehicles. They decided upon the term Low Emission Vehicle or LEV. Factory LEV window stickers have been placed on hundreds of thousands of new cars over the past 5 years making the term LEV synonymous with low emission gas powered vehicles. I think it's about time to let the term Light Electric Vehicle die, and let it's initials become Low Emission Vehicle.
